Arrange several themes into one timeline. Duplicate a theme and the copies stay linked, so re-rolling one updates them all — or unlink a copy to send it off in its own direction. Drag blocks to reorder, rename them, and give each its own key and mode so the song can modulate.
Lay out the phrase structure yourself with a simple form language —
A(2) | A(2) | B(2) | CAD(2) — using chips you can drag,
duplicate and delete. Pick from stock shapes like SRDC, AABA, sentence, period or
a 12-bar AAB, or click any phrase in the analysis lane to change its type on the
spot.
Choose a ready-made progression loop or type your own Roman numerals — sevenths, added colour, borrowed and applied chords all welcome. Click any chord in the timeline to swap it from a picker; the melody stays exactly where it is while the harmony moves underneath.
Love the phrase but not that one segment? Drag across the melody to select a span and re-roll only that — everything else is kept note for note. Lock the rhythm and re-roll the pitches, or the other way around, audition take after take, then keep it or revert.
Nudge notes up and down by scale step, by semitone, or to the nearest chord tone, and delete the ones you don't want. The generator's work is a starting point, never a locked box.
Melody and chords live on separate tracks, each with its own General MIDI instrument, fader, mute, solo and gain. Re-voice the accompaniment as block chords, pulses, arpeggios or Alberti bass, shift either track by octaves, and sweeten the whole thing with a little reverb.
